Solar Installation Course
The Solar Installation training course teaches participants the fundamentals of solar energy systems. Participants learn the basics of electricity and solar energy, complete workplace safety and training certifications and gain hands-on experience installing solar panels using industry tools and practices.
Instructors create a supportive learning environment and are committed to the success of participants.

Who this Course is for
The Green Skills Academy is committed to providing these courses to underserved and underrepresented communities.
You must be:
- 18 years or older
- Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or have Refugee Status
Why you should take part
Gain practical knowledge and skills in solar installation.
- You may receive certifications in one or more of the following certifications (course dependant):
- Standard First Aid and CPR
- Working at Heights
- Electrical Safety
- Ladder Safety
- You will receive protection and safety equipment, including work boots, hard hat, work gloves, high visibility vest and safety glasses
- You will receive a certificate of completion in Solar Installation after finishing all course requirements

- This course is free to take part in
- In-person course takes place on weekdays during day time work hours
