This 1.5 event will be hosted on Zoom and will use breakout rooms to promote smaller group chats. You will have the opportunity to meet multiple solar professionals. This event is intended for 18 to 29 year olds in Alberta.

Curtis Craig
Curtis Craig is a Master Electrician and Professional Electrical Engineer registered in the province of Alberta. He began his electrical career at the tender age of 17, apprenticing with a Red Deer based commercial electrical contractor. Since then, he has worked as an electrician and construction foreman in the commercial and industrial sectors. After becoming a Journeyman, Curtis applied to the University of Calgary Electrical Engineering program, where he graduated in 2015 With Distinction. He went on to work in an engineering firm designing schools and recreation centers, which also had a large renewable and energy efficiency component. Curtis became deeply interested in renewables around this time, and later started Inferno Solar in February of 2019. Inferno has grown to 15 employees, and provides design-build solar and electric vehicle charging solutions for the commercial and industrial market in Alberta and Western Canada.
Christine is a Business Development Manager at Radicle, where she leads new opportunity identification for nature based solutions in the carbon credit space. She leverages her experience working in the startup ecosystem to analyze potential areas for GHG reductions and develops go to market strategies to execute on new project types.
Christine’s work in the renewable sector focuses on informing and supporting businesses looking to transition towards renewable forms of energy, specifically solar power. Christine launched the solar carbon credit program at Radicle, which enables any individual or business with a solar panel in Alberta to generate carbon credits easily through Radicle’s software. Leveraging Radicle’s position in the market and experience generating offsets, Christine supports client’s looking for solar offset solutions for both aggregated and large-scale projects across Alberta.
Katarzyna Gajewska is a Project Coordinator with SSRIA (the Smart Sustainable Resilient Infrastructure Association). She manages green building pilot projects implementing innovative technologies to reduce energy use and GHG emissions. Katarzyna is also the owner and operator of KATCO Energy, where she works as an NRCan Energy Advisor, delivering the Federal Greener Homes Grants through home energy audits.
Katarzyna was born and raised in Canada. She has received a degree at the University of Calgary in International Relations and a civil engineering diploma from SAIT Polytechnic. In Denmark, she received her master’s degree in Sustainability Science and Environmental Management. In 2018/2019, Kat was invited to speak at the Aalborg Sustainability festival on city branding and her role with INGA (the International Network of Green Agents) also in 2019 Katarzyna won a Ramboll case competition developing a sustainable trajectory toward branding future cities.
Katarzyna loves the outdoors, especially hot-springing, camping, and cooking over open flames. She aims to design and build homes tailored toward sustainable and circular economic principles.
Mike has been in the Oil and Gas Industry for over 20 years. The last 15 of those years have been focused on the commissioning and start up of new SAGD/Insitu Projects and Mega Projects.
Mike spent his time growing up playing in team environments which has allowed him the insight to be able to build strong teams, to mentor new people in the industry and his team, and the adaptability to be able to pivot during stressful times.
Mike is always looking to put his skills to the test with a new project, building a new organization, or creating and strengthening the right culture. Safety, People, and Quality are 3 things he ensures are always being held in a high standard.
