Solar Training Course with Keepers of the Circle
Event Details
Relay Education and Keepers of the Circle are excited to offer a hands-on solar training course. This is a free course open to Indigenous woman or Two-Spirit individuals living in Northern Ontario.
Learn how solar energy is designed, installed, and maintained for homes, businesses, and larger projects. Participants work directly with solar photovoltaic equipment, setting up a basic system and exploring how off-grid applications operate. Participants will finish the course with practical solar installation skills and recognized safety certificates to support future projects or community work.
Format: Hybrid learning. Virtual sessions + 7 days of hands-on training in Kirkland Lake, Ontario from Sept 28-Oct 4, 2025
About Keepers of the Circle
Keepers of the Circle is an Indigenous Hub with two sites located in Temiskaming Shores and Kirkland Lake. It’s operated by the Temiskaming Native Women’s Support Group, a non-profit that supports the cultural, social, and economic equity of Indigenous women and the wellness of their families and communities.
