Join Relay Education and Efficiency Canada for a networking event with professionals working in energy efficiency. During the event you will meet and talk with professionals from a diverse range of backgrounds which reflects the varied nature of energy efficiency. Learn about career opportunities in this growing field, expand your professional network, and take steps towards a fulfilling career.

This 1-hour event will be hosted on Zoom and will use breakout rooms to promote smaller group chats. You will have the opportunity to meet multiple professionals throughout the event. This event is intended for 18 to 29 year olds.

Evelyne Bouchard
Evelyne is an architect who is passionate about the overlap between thoughtful design and technical rigour. She strives to embed Passive House design principles and measurable performance into the creative process to design projects that are durable, sustainable, functional and beautiful. She runs her own practice, Tandem Architecture Écologique, as well as teaching courses for Passive House Canada and McGill University.
Jill McArthur
Jill McArthur is a Communications Specialist for NAIMA Canada, where she assists with website curation and facilitates digital communication strategies that help promote energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. These strategies include content, relationship building, digital marketing, and research.
Prior to joining NAIMA Canada, Jill received her Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Communications as well as a post-graduate diploma from Algonquin College in Interactive Multimedia and Graphic Design. Jill has a passion for community engagement on environmental and social justice issues.
Nicholas Gall
Nicholas Gall has been a lobbyist for solar power since 2018, first in the United Kingdom at Solar Energy UK, and currently as the Director, Distributed Energy Resources at the Canadian Renewable Energy Association, a national trade association representing Canada’s wind, solar and energy storage industries. Prior to entering the field of renewable energy, Nicholas was a parliamentary staffer in Ottawa, and worked for two national wildlife conservation charities. He holds an M.Sc. in Economics from University College London, and a BA in Economics from Dalhousie University.
Nik Schruder
Nik Schruder serves as Director of Energy Efficiency for the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO). With over 13 years of experience working in the sector, he has led the development and implementation of four energy efficiency frameworks in Ontario, including the new 2021-2024 Conservation Framework. He serves as Board member for the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) where he supports the development of cutting-edge strategies to accelerate the commercialization of energy efficient solutions. In addition, he recently joined the Board of Step Up Energy, where he is helping advance gender equity, diversity and inclusion in Canada’s energy management sector. Nik is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (P.Eng), a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP), and holds a Masters of Applied Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University.
