Here’s a summary of highlights from the Green Skills Academy Report 2024:
- 971 participants in 54 cohorts: The training courses were offered in a variety of skill specialities and in different locations to reach as many Canadians as possible.
- 260 Indigenous participants: Programs were designed to support Indigenous communities in accessing green job opportunities.
- Solar skills training: 291 participants completed hands-on training in solar installation. One of the four programs offered in the academy.
- Industry partnerships: Collaborated with over 15 organizations to enhance training quality and job placement potential.
- Community impact: Empowered participants with skills for meaningful roles in the green economy with participants from every province and territory across Canada.
