The Grade 9 Solar Workshop focuses on differentiating between two types of solar energy, light energy and thermal energy. Students will understand how colours of light within the visible electromagnetic spectrum interact differently with solar panels. In addition, students will explore how thermal energy affects solar panels.
These experiments both rely on and enhance the following skills: measuring, data collection, team work and data analysis. To celebrate the electrifying nature of solar panels, the students will also assemble model solar race cars.
Workshop is tailored to fit your schedule.
